Senior Software Engineer

BlastWave is seeking a Software Engineer with several years of experience.  Our next Software Engineer will develop our firmware/software security products, working collaboratively with the rest of our development team.  She or he will be an expert in at least one programming language and IDE, with proficiency in C++14 or C++17, and familiarity with Unix or Linux and TCP/IP networking.  Learn More

Tom Sego
Co-founder and CEO

Tom Sego is a co-founder and the Chief Executive Officer of BlastWave. Tom is a veteran business leader with over 20 years of experience across a variety of industries, ranging from heavy equipment manufacturing to consumer electronics, pharmaceuticals to mobile telephony, solar energy storage to industrial products. This breadth of industry knowledge coupled with his operational experience in strategy, product management, business development, and sales support has given him a strong track record in understanding customer needs, identifying underlying business issues, and developing comprehensive solutions.

Prior to BlastWave, Tom was co-founder and CEO of SunVault and a co-founder and CMO at DiVitas Networks. Additionally, he led global sales support at Apple, and he sits on multiple boards.

Tom Sego holds an M.B.A from Harvard Business School and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology.

Charles Constanti
Chief Financial Officer, HR, and Legal

Charles is the Chief Financial Officer at BlastWave and has responsibility for the finance, HR, and legal functions. Charles brings over 30 years of experience as a financial leader, serving as CFO for three public growth companies, including one which won Deloitte’s Fast 500 award for six consecutive years. He has also led global expansions and successfully raised equity and debt capital. His diverse experience has been instrumental in scaling BlastWave’s operations.

Prior to BlastWave, Charles held executive and senior finance positions with leading companies such as CareDx, Procera Networks, Motorola, Netopia, Quantum, and Bank of America after starting his career at PriceWaterhouseCoopers.

Charles holds a BS in Accounting, Magna Cum Laude, from Binghamton University School of Management.

Peter Alm
Chief Technology Officer

Peter is the Chief Technical Officer at BlastWave with responsibility for the technical vision and architecture of the BlastShield solution. Previously, Peter served as the chief architect of the Procera Networks solution where he designed and architected large parts of the solution, including a significant role in the development of a deep packet inspection technology that is now deployed across many mobile, cable, and fixed communications carriers worldwide. And at Ekkono Solutions, Peter co-designed and developed a machine learning framework that runs on IoT edge devices.

Before joining BlastWave, Peter was the CTO of Ekkono Solutions and a co-founder of Netintact AB, which was acquired by Procera Networks Inc in 2009.

Audrey Duet
Chief Product Officer

Audrey is the Chief Product Officer at BlastWave leading product strategy, roadmap, and definition. Audrey has over 18 years of experience in leveraging pioneering technologies and designing products to address real world problems. Prior to BlastWave, she served as CPO for xBrain, Inc, an AI cloud based platform, where she designed new business applications based on machine learning and natural language processing for the Automobile, Fintech, Retail, Robotic and IoT industries.

In addition to BlastWave and xBrain, Audrey has served in a wide variety of executive product and operational roles for technology companies.

Audrey earned a Master’s Degree from EFFICOM, the European Communication School, in Paris, France.

Dennis Gentry
Senior Director, Engineering

As the Senior Director of Engineering at BlastWave, Dennis brings over 20 years of vast experience in hardware, software, and service engineering. At Two Pore Guys, Dennis was responsible for delivering the end to end hardware and software solution, including the integration of all components. He also has deep experience in architecting and building scalable systems at YouTube and at Tivo. Additionally at TiVo, he led the team that architected and built the backend for the TiVo Service that is still in use today.  

Prior to BlastWave, Dennis also worked in many senior level engineering positions at Google, YouTube, Apple, and various startups.

Dennis earned an M.S. and B.S. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, from the University of Washington, and he completed graduate studies in Physics and Math at the University of Idaho.

John Gorkos
Senior Engineer

John is a senior software engineer at BlastWave, bringing over a decade of experience scaling large smart metering systems with millions of endpoints. He has conducted network trials for clients around the world, focusing on data access strategies, and has managed operations centers with command and control responsibility for all metering system endpoints. Additionally, as a U.S. Army officer, John served as a crypto custodian for keys and key materials.

Prior to BlastWave, John was a principal software engineer at Sensus, founded and ran a regional wireless ISP, and was a Signal Corps officer in the U.S. Army.

John earned his B.S. in Computer Engineering from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point.

Mike Kay
Chief Business Development Officer

Mike is Chief Business Development Officer at Blastwave with responsibility for driving new business growth.  Mike brings over 25 years of experience developing and leading successful go-to-market strategies, and he most recently served as Chief Marketing Officer and VP of Business Development at intent-based networking pioneer, Veriflow Systems.  

Prior to Veriflow Mike served in multiple strategic leadership roles for technology companies such as Procera Networks, Ixia Networks, Tasman Networks (acquired by Nortel), and Force10 Networks (acquired by Dell).  Mike was also co-founder and VP of Market Development at LayerX Technologies (acquired by Arrow Electronics). Additionally, Mike spent 7 years at Cisco Systems where he led Cisco’s strategic relationships with EDS and IBM globally.

Mike attended the University of Texas at Arlington where he conducted his undergraduate studies in Computer Science Engineering.

Vikram Singh
Business Development

Vikram is a senior advisor to the CEO with a primary focus on government channels.

Vikram is a member of the BlastWave business development team, with primary responsibility for government channels.

Vikram has held numerous senior roles in the US Departments of Defense and State and has a clear understanding of the business needs of various governmental organizations and the cybersecurity challenges they face. Vikram’s firm Red Cedar Global Strategies focuses on helping tech companies contribute to national security.

Additionally, Vikram is a senior policy advisor at the US Institute of Peace and the US-India Strategic Partnership Forum, and he advises a wide range of clients at WestExec Advisors.

Vikram holds an M.A. in International Security Policy and Human Rights from the Columbia University School of International and Public Affairs and a B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley.

Todd Turnidge
Chief Science Officer

Todd is the BlastWave chief science officer. Todd is a language implementation expert with a career-long focus on virtual machines. He was a principal engineer at Google for many years where he focused on the Dart virtual machine, and he also worked on compilers and language while he was a software engineer at Transmeta.

Earlier in his career, Todd worked as a software engineer at Sun Microsystems where he was focused on Javac and Hotspot.

Todd holds an M.A. and a B.S. in Math & Computer Science from Case Western Reserve University, and he also completed graduate studies in Computer Science at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
